Afterword: A Conversational Soufflé
March 2012
Live performance
Chazen Museum of Art, Laurie Beth Clark’s Ossuary installation
Katrina and Andrew have a problem: they can’t stop talking to each other.
Drawing on their interest in linguistic and corporeal structures as sites of articulation and disarticulation, they create a conversational structure that insistently breaks and reconstructs itself. Continuously departing from their ostensible topic, they talk themselves into a series of moments that cyclically and tangentially defer closure.
